Damon R. Becnel is a Real Estate Developer, Construction Project Manager, and Resort Operations Director with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Damon has been responsible for building over $1 Billion worth of residential and commercial projects from start to finish as well as overseeing operations at some of the most luxurious resort destinations in Florida’s Panhandle. His extensive knowledge of construction management, permitting processes, land acquisition strategies, and design/build practices give him an intimate understanding that few others possess in this field.

In 2003 Damon established DRB Development LLC which quickly became one of Northwest Florida’s premier developers specializing in high-end custom home communities on golf courses throughout the region. In 2013 Damon was awarded his second Pinnacle Award for Excellence in Construction Management from the Suncoast Chapter of PCA&D.

With over 20 years in the resort industry, Damon worked his way through every aspect of golf course management and operations. He has much experience in marketing strategies, revenue optimization, banquet/meeting planning, food & beverage, housekeeping services, landscaping contracts, golf course maintenance contracts and much more. He has been the President and General Manager of Visionary Vacations Inc. previously known as Resort Property Management of Destin, Inc. since 1998. In 1999 he also started Sunrise Beach Service which provides beach chairs and concessions at Silver Shells Beach Resort.

During this time he also realized that the developments he created including the condos needed reliable communications services. He started Communications Processing Systems, Inc. which presently operates and maintains telecommunications and network systems for 1123 condominium units on three sites. It also provides cable, internet, and telephone bundling at Palms of Destin Resort and Silver Shells Beach Resort.

Damon Becnel is also the current owner of New Venture, LLC. He acquired over 9 acres in Destin and Perdido Key, Florida, for future Condominium Development Projects, including the following two: 

St. Kitts at Silver Shells, Destin, FL – Development Order Issued November 2018: 200,000 square feet, 70 units, construction estimated to begin December 2021. ($103,000,000)
